Westcroft Judo Club Nork is a family-run club, led predominantly by Rachelle and Mike Sexton along with their daughter Amber. The club is also supported by their other two children, Matthew and Francesca, making it a true family effort.

We are proud to have an independent welfare officer, Lisa Harvey, who ensures the wellbeing of all our members. In addition, we are fortunate to have wonderful volunteer youth coaching support, whose passion and commitment help our club continue to grow

The beginnings...

Westcroft JC (Nork) is one of two branches of Westcroft Judo Club which was founded in 1996 in a squash court at Westcroft Leisure Centre.  The founding coaches were Mike Sexton , Rachelle Sexton (nee Ede) and Andrew Ede, supported by Mick and Pauline Ede.

Westcroft JC (Nork) was founded by, Rachelle and Mike Sexton and has been operating since 2000. 

The purpose...

The purpose of the club is to promote and share the benefits of  Kodokan and Olympic Judo with the local community, and in particular the youth in the local area.  The focus is on long term technical development . Along the way we have fun and win a few medals. and with hard work acquire a black belt .

Accreditation...

Our club and /coaches/players are members of the British Judo Association (BJA)  which in turn is part of the International Olympic committee and the International Judo Federation. All coaches are qualified and regulated by this National Governing Body.

The BJA is the National Governing Body for Judo and is the only national judo organisation that is recognised by the International Judo Federation, and therefore recognised world wide.

 Local Partnerships...

We are actively involved in the Reigate and Banstead and Epsom and Ewell Councils. Delivering classes for them and previously for 20years at the Active Surrey Youth Games

We have a partnership class with the Rainbow centre Epsom. Classes are booked directly with the Rainbow .
